Google Maps link: clicking on this link will open the corresponding file in a new browser window directly into the Google Maps. If you then click on one of the mill icons inside Google Maps, an additional window will be opened showing a photo and some information on the mill, if available. There are too many entries in the database for mills with and without photo so it won't show up in google maps, here you need google earth.
Download link for Google Earth: clicking on this link will download a kmz file on your computer, which can be opened in Google Earth. To do so, Google Earth must first be installed on your computer. Using the the Mill GPS Database in Google Earth is more convenient than in Google Maps.
Network Link to the corresponding kmz file: You can add this link in Google Earth as a network link (video guide). The kmz files on the server will be updated from time to time with new mills. By using the Network Link in Google Earth you will automatically use the latest edition. If you download the kmz file on your computer and then start Google Earth by double-clicking on this file, it will of course not automatically update itself. In this case you must make sure yourself toget the latest kmz file.
Excelsheet: this Excel sheet contains all of the important data of the kmz file. You can sort the excel table the way you would like, which will allow you to create your own kmz file(s) sorted the way you prefer (video guide).
Not all records are complete. So if you can complete some of the missing data, we will be very happy. In order to distinguish the new from the old content, please use a different color, preferrably red, to indicate your updates.
