The mills in the database files are marked with different symbols, so that the different types of mills can easily be identified. Here, all symbols are listed, which will appear in the future on the map, at the moment this is not yet the case. In case of ambiguity the outside property is indicated by the symbol. A windmill tower without sails with a motor mill in the building gets, for example, the symbol for a windmill tower.
Watermill with waterwheel, the wheel is not turning or it is unknown if it is possible to turn. For example: waterwheel at a restaurant or an apartment building.
Waterwheel can turn, it is not known for what purpose. The machinery can still be around, but cannot be used anymore.
Functional waterwheel, drives the machinery or a generator.
Watermill ruin or unused mill, remains of the waterwheel and/or machinery can still be around, but not in operational condition.
